Just returned form another great SkillsUSA National Conference in Kansas City. If you have any doubt about the future of the construction industry or the future of our country you should see what is going on at Skills either locally, at the state level or nationally.
I serve on a technical committee for a competition called TeamWorks where four students: carpenter, mason, plumber and electrician work for two days to complete a project with all four trades working together.
And all of the materials, or nearly all of them, are picked up by the local Habitat Restore and reused in another building project.
